Robert Nichols is a technical specialist who has managed a power plant department and supervised plant maintenance. He has acted as project manager for numerous capital and improvement projects, and has worked with many contractors, consultants, property managers, and insurance representatives. During the course of his career, Robert observed a need for facility managers, and others, to have an increased knowledge in specific areas in order to make better-informed decisions, to optimize segments of the business, to assist with liabilities reduction, and ultimately increase profits. These specific areas include lowering the impact of natural disasters, risk of accidents, reducing employee health and safety issues, and decreasing the chances of product quality concerns. Accordingly, operating costs can be reduced, and the business infrastructure better protected. All of the foregoing items can spell success or failure to a firm, no matter the type or size.
