Author Description

My Walk Through the Valley of The Shadow of Death, Books 1-3: Faith, Inspiration, and Perseverance is based on my insights, reflections, and experiences in my continuing journey after learning that I was diagnosed with late-stage IV bile duct and liver cancer, a rare and aggressive cancer with a low survival rate. Once it became clear what I was facing, I knew that my only chance for survival was to seek the best medical treatment available (Emory Winship Cancer Institute) and strengthen my faith and dependency on God, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit. God has always been present in my life and has blessed me and shown me great favor. But as I faced my darkest challenge, I realized that I needed Him now more than ever. I knew that His love was abundant, His mercy endless, and His grace miraculous. I needed a miracle that only He could provide. This book was inspired by and co-authored with the Holy Trinity. This collection of poems celebrates praise and gratitude to God, Christ, and the Holy Spirit while providing inspiration to continue fighting through challenges and achieving victory through perseverance. It ranges from celebrations of life, appreciation for triumphs, insights into vulnerabilities, doubts, and setbacks, and rejoice for love, while relying on the Holy Trinity for Its faith, mercy, and peace as I battle this deadly disease. I endeavor to always live by my unyielding trust, faith, and love in the Holy Trinity regardless of my fate. I will continue to turn to Them for Their courage, strength, and mercy.
