When we surrender our all to God; I mean truly surrender, not just submit but fully surrender, withholding nothing or anything, when we lay it all down pick up our cross and carry it, holding it firmly and strong, though the storms may rage and the billows roll, though the fire intensifies and the mountains are high, God will see us through. He may not always calm the storms, slow down the billows, put out the fires or lower the mountains, but we can be confidentially assured that He will be with us all the way. He will strengthen us to endure and persevering through it all. Prayers In Poetry III is the verbal articulation of the journey of one who has fully surrendered. One who still stands firm in spite of the journey. But it is also an encourager for those who are either beginning or considering beginning their journey. Know this, while in the world our journey will not end but it is made easier and more rewarding when we fully surrender to The One who knows every hurdle and every mountain ahead of us, who walks through every fire and sees everything that can hinder us, who holds us when we grow faint and renews our strength. As you navigate your way on your journey I pray that the pain of my journey will go some way to adding to your wisdom as you claim the victory and give God all the glory.
