Whether it's from history books, modern-day royal families, or the animated movies we grew up watching, we are all quite familiar with the idea of a king (or queen!) reigning gloriously over their loyal subjects. There's no question of authority in those contexts - one leads, the rest follow. But what happens when there is tension between two warring parties claiming rights to the throne? What happens when the individual wearing the crown isn't actually the rightful king? And even worse, what happens when this conflict happens within the most intimate parts of our own lives?The question of who should be given leadership of our heart, mind, and soul is to be answered in one simple word: Jesus.
