In LOVE AND HATE IN SMALL-TOWN AMERICA, Pastor Emmitte Cornelius Sr. reflects on the invaluable lessons he learned from his grandfather while growing up in the segregated, Jim Crow South. Through the lens of this relationship and the teachings of the Bible, he contends that the love of God in a Christian's heart precludes hatred of others, and that the tenets of racism [individual and structural] and Christianity, particularly, are irreconcilable.
