After graduation, she volunteered at a children's hospital in Guatamala and taught kindergarten in Mexico. Upon her return to the United States, Michelle continued to teach at a private school in Oregon. Throughout her student life and career she has provided overnight childcare for numerous families. Her child care experience and love of children are brought to the pages of Bon Voyage. Michelle currently lives in Portland, Oregon with her husband, and writes bilingual children's books.
