Prepared by the work group convened by the Calif. Dept. of Social Services to develop recommendations for minimum safety requirements for playgrounds at licensed child care centers. The work group used as a ref. the Consumer Product Safety Comm. (CPSC) playground safety guidelines & the playground safety reg. adopted by the Calif. Dept. of Health Services. These playground safety reg. incorporate pertinent CPSC guidelines & ASTM standards. They cover the design, installation, inspection, maintenance, supervision, & training of personnel involved in the design, installation, & maintenance of all public playgrounds.
