In a society where it's normal and almost encouraged to give up on anything that shows signs of discomfort, as if we're not supposed to experience hardship, RayVaughn Harris is old fashion in this respect and tends to stand strong when trouble comes his way. Especially when it comes to the woman he loves Janice. Reuniting with a childhood friend and forming a romantic relationship, Ray & Janice go through a series of highs and lows that pushes his patience to the limit and puts his manhood into question. Deeming herself unlovable and unworthy of happiness, she commits herself to breaking men as she has been broken. Seeing through the facade that Janice portrays and recognizing her true nature and value, Ray is determined to prove her and the world wrong about Black love.
