Ever lose control of your temper, or cannot control negative emotions or thought patterns? Purely Unadulterated Me is every broken person’s story. It provides a looking glass into traumatic events from, a girl named, Love’s (and other victims who are afraid to be their own voice) past. By facing that past and confronting it, it provides a stepping stone to overcoming fears of what the future might hold. She never knew that she had so many layers of unforgiveness, except that she kept her heart well-guarded. It was so guarded she did not know who she was. Love’s passion for living was dying, and fear had such a hold on her that it seemed useless to fight. Eventually she felt so hopeless that she was ready to accept death as her final resort, until her children were born. Their birth made her fight for life. Not for herself, but for them. She knew they were destined to suffer her fate if they were raised in the same environment as she was. With desperation, she moved away from all that she knew was home, and was determined to get them as far away from her past as she could. No matter where she went, her depression would try to torment her and torture her. She would suppress it, in hopes to give her children a better chance at life than she had. When she is faced with a traumatic event that happens to her son, it sends a hurricane of emotions to deal with that was so unbearable. She did not know who to turn to. Her faith was not enough. In fact, she found that she never really had faith. She had developed a co-dependency on other people’s faith and beliefs. With no place to turn, her lack of faith, and no knowledge of true love, she finds a way out.
