Author Description

Daniel is only seven years old when he loses his hero and best friend; his daddy. His grief feels overwhelming until his friendship with an older boy, Liam, leads to the emerging awareness that he is somehow different. As the unbridled hormones of a growing boy fill Daniel with a constant desire he cannot yet define, his yearnings are made more complicated by the presence of a new father-figure in his life, and a new friend in whom he can confide his deepest secrets. On this journey of self-discovery, Daniel struggles with loss, desire, and love, as he matures from boy, through adolescence, to young man.
