A Child of God, Just Like You reveals what happens when you finally let God in. The healing journey is messy, but in all our human brokenness, God's love meets us right in the center of our intersectionality, where society or oppressive religious systems might fail to. From childhood, to careers, to romantic relationships, A Child of God, Just Like You shows us that we can be thankful for the wounds in our lives that push us closer to God. This story of raw vulnerability shows us how just like we break in pieces, we heal in pieces, too. It is possible to rebuild a new home within ourselves, brick by brick; not to build walls, but to rebuild our foundation. We can tangibly create an authentic relationship with God, healing, and self-love in the 21st century.
