The Teddy Bear Necklace was the catalyst that brought Hollyanna Berry & Nicholas Czerwinski together. She passed the necklace on to her daughter Mandy Lynn, who in turn passed it on to her daughter Ayesha Lynn. In a growing chain of love, Ayesha Lynn's son, Jordan Michael, is the heir apparent to the family heirloom. As part of an assignment, in a fourth-grade geography class, Jordan becomes pen-pals with Franchesca Jimenez, a girl in Honduras. Somewhere in the middle of the school year, Jordan feels compelled to send the family heirloom to her, since, someday, it would have been rightfully his. Their plans to communicate during the next school year were ruined when a hurricane pounds Honduras and breaks off all contact between them. Jordan assumes the worst. But Franchesca survived the disaster, and was given refugee status in the United States. Now, more than a decade later, she's decided to go looking for Jordan. She wants to thank him personally for the Necklace, if she can find him.
