The View from Crystal Mountain is a fictitious story of two cousins who hike to Crystal Peak in a quest to become adept at determining fact from fiction. Along the path, the two main characters, adolescent cousins Johnny White and Lois White, interact with nature, other hikers, rangers and an enigmatous dog to hone their skills in discerning truth. The view from Crystal Mountain reveals to them that, with skill in deciphering truth comes the gift of peace.
