Comparative Study of Archives in East Asia The pre-modern archival tradition of the three East Asian countries was not inferior to that of the West. In the modern sense, however, the archive history of the three East Asian countries is slower than in the West. This book attempts to describe the direction of the formation of the East Asian Records Community based on the analysis of the archive development paths and characteristics of the three East Asian countries. Based on this work, we hope to promote regional exchanges and cooperation, and ultimately contribute to the formation of East Asian peace communities in terms of culture, as well as the functional change of national archives.
