'i wish to say to those who are unacquainted with our Wild Flowers, that their nature can be easily learned from Gray's or W'ood's Botany of the Northern United States, or Chapman's Flora of the Southern States. They give the color, height of plant, time of owering, situation where found, and in fact all about them. The increasing interest among ower lovers of all nations is very marked for these American plants. We have such a variety of soil and climate that a large share of the natural orders are here represented.
