Over the course of about ten years, MR. HENDRIX was A WINNER in the weekly DETROIT FREE PRESS CAPTION CONTEST more than 48 times. In 2022 MR HENDRIX last book, “IN BLACK AND WHITE” won THE PENCRAFT AWARD, and in 2023, THE INDEPENDENT PRESS AWARD. CARY HENDRIX JR. was born in THE JIM CROW SOUTH.
