In recent years, archaeological investigations in the coastal region of Peru have positively underpinned the thesis of a strong presence of other cultures from the Peruvian mountains in different periods, one of them being the Wari culture. In Huaca Pucllana, in Lima, the discovery of 24 human burials carried out in the strictest ceremonial protocol, and corresponding only to high-level personages in this imperial society represented new knowledge on this culture. Amongst the remains, the tomb of a great priest stands out in this discovery, who, like his fellow companions buried in the Huaca Pucllana, was part of an elite of high officials and media representatives of the Wari culture based in Lima, approximately in the year 800 AD. This book presents only part of the results of scientific and multidisciplinary research work that takes place in the archaeological and conservation project "Proyecto de Investigación, Conservación y Puesta en Valor de Huaca Pucllana."
