Frankel is a writer working and teaching quietly in the quiet poetic hinterlands near El Sereno and Highland Park (Los Angeles). He is originally from San Francisco and has lived in New York and Barcelona. He has published poems, stories, essays, and reviews in The Antioch Review, Bloom, The North Dakota Quarterly, Sanskrit, Faultline, The Dr. T.J. Eckleburg Review, Switchback, and the Cider Press Review, among other publications. He hosts the Second Sunday Poetry Series in Los Angeles. He holds an MFA from New England College and regularly attends and leads workshops around town. His chapbook, available on Amazon, is called My Father’s Lady, Wearing Black (Conflux Press).
