Health care is a rapidly growing sector.Two important issues in health care, and this sector are patient safety/medical errors and quality in health services, but patient safety is crucial for the quality of health care. In recent years, in many countries are investigated and discussed “How can patients receive more secure care?”. Unfortunately, one of malpractice issues that threat patient safety and health professional (specifically in nurses or midwives) is drug application that is an important constituent of the treatment process. Because most people lose their life because of medical errors, to raise awareness on this topic is only one of important approaches to protect health and safety of the patient. This book is intended to draw attention to patient safety, safe drug administration, healthy clinical practices, the responsibility of nurse-midwifery in patient safety and in medication, and preventive approaches. I wish this book is a useful guide for health professionals.
