A chronology of the unlimited hydroplane Gold Cup race for the first one hundred and one years. It includes the name of every boat and driver who started the race, the location and date of the race, and additional information about contenders from Detroit. It also includes information about all of the races held in Detroit in the years when the Gold Cup Race was held elsewhere, including races held before and after the big race. Finally, it includes an alphabetical index of all of the boats and drivers who competed in the Gold Cup, as well as Detroit owned boats that were not able to qualify for the race.
