This collection of articles and Dick Tracy comics is great. It starts back when it started, but it also covered the brief period of time when I got to read this strip daily in the early '80's. There were basically four complete stories included. One was the story introducing Sam Catchem. There was a later one that seems to only include the Sunday portions of the story. Then, there was two later stories, by the authors who took over from retired Chester Gould - one with the return of Haf-and-Haf and another about the investment firm of Upward Lee Mobile, which he co-partnered with his wife Trendy. Both include the thrilling peril scenes that lasted a week or two in the actual story, having me rush for the next paper. It also includes classic cases, which of course includes Flattop, Pruneface, Mumbles, and the Brow, but also 1971's the Pouch (I got to see a couple of comics of that story as a kid) and Angelface. A side note. This came out about the same time as Warren Beatty's movie, but there wasn't a single mention of it, even though it mentioned the older movies and serials. If you're a Dick Tracy fan, you'll enjoy this trip down memory lane.
