I have known and done business with Scott Treff for more than a decade. Not only has he originated personal mortgage loans for me, but I refer clients to him on a regular basis. Scott has a very “no-nonsense” communication style that is direct, informative, and efficient. He makes things easy to understand for the average person. He has always listened more than he talks, and I appreciate that. When Scott told me he was writing a book and what the subject was, I encouraged him to do it. The mortgage process has always seemed like a bit of a mystery to most people; why does it take so long? Why are so many people involved? You know I have good credit. Why can’t you just approve me? For most people buying a home will be the biggest transaction of their life, so it makes sense that they should know more about the process. And there should be more basic, easy-to-understand resources available to them.
