Cascade Alpine Guide: Climbing and High Routes: Stevens Pass to Rainy Pass: This guidebook is in part an encyclopedia of natural features and also very briefly depicts the important known exploring and climbing history. The Cascade Alpine Guides are a series of three climbing guides written by Fred Beckey, longtime explorer and climber of the Cascade Mountains in Washington and British Columbia. The guides outline routes to summit every peak of any significance in the region. Many photos in the books were taken by USGS scientist Austin Post. The guides are published by The Mountaineers.
