Considering globalization trends, students in the United State may benefit from developing the awareness they belong to a global community. Furthermore, to avoid or minimize future international conflict, cultivating a global consciousness among students will enable them to consider how their actions affect the lives of people throughout the world. But the first step is to enable our students to appreciate diversity for the world if a diverse place. This book reviews programs geared toward fostering such consciousness and seeks to point out best practices to make recommendations for future applications.
