The process of evaluating multicultural education programs with respect to goals, planning, implementation and effects is examined in this handbook. The roles of evaluation participants are defined, and the content of what is to be measured is classified according to five major categories of possible effects upon the learners: knowledge, perceptions, attitudes, skills and patterns of behavior. Also examined are specific methods of measurement which include paper and pencil methods, discussion, production and observation, and appropriate procedures for tabulating, recording, and interpreting the results.
