
This book takes little ones on a journey to meet Uncle Tim and his garden, showing just how special gardening is, how families come together, and the process involved to start. There are so many reasons and so many things you can do with your little one in the garden, but why is it a good idea to start gardening with your kid? Most children enjoy being outdoors and love getting dirty, digging, and creating, which provides the perfect opportunity to acquire new skills, and improve their overall development while having fun. They practice locomotor skills (moving their bodies from one place to another and carrying tools, soil, and water ), and fine motor skills (using instruments or picking up seeds to plant). Cognitive development; intellectual skills such as remembering and analyzing information and predicting outcomes, learning the correct order of the processes involved (preparing the soil, planting, watering, and weeding), parts of the plants, and the differences between them. Also, they can exercise their literacy skills by learning the names of different plants, reading plant packages or making a map of the garden, and labeling the plants in it.
