Author Description

An urban protected area like the Brixton Street Wetlands has a rich history of community involvement in caring for the site and is a significant biodiversity hotspot in its own right. It supports a wide variety of botanical wonders - some documented, some not, and some may never be. This book showcases unique native orchids of the wetlands and, where appropriate, describes the processes/stories behind the photographs. The purpose of the book is to stimulate everyday people, especially the younger generation so that they become involved in a broader community-led sustainability movement.
