Author Description

The book has about 150 color images taken over a period of time at different places in south India spanning over a few hundred square kilometers. All the birds both native and migratory species have been recorded with details of their binomial, English name, Tamil name, with snippets and a QR code for each species to refer the reader to the ebird site for more details. The ebird site is affiliated to the The Cornell Lab's, Merlin, a mobile application. The purpose is to spark an interest on birds and start a conversation on their beauty, distribution, and behavior and to inspire the younger generation that is yet to delve into the thought of birding.
