Before the spring break tourists arrive in full force, before black bears emerge from their dens, and before the forthcoming green up of spring, spend time in the bridge between Tennessee Mountain winter and spring. It is late winter, and there is little forage for hungry deer and turkey. This makes them easier to find in daylight hours. A furious snowfall comes, then relents. Spring starts to return to Cades Cove with lots of water, green grass, and the splendour of the daffodil.
