Zurraspas (o la poética del fracaso) es un libro de poesía que gira en torno a la juventud, la ciudad y todos los vicios que estas cosas conllevan. Zurraspas abarca desde el punk rock hasta la poesía beat. Pinta un retrato crudo y desaliñado del underground española principios de esta década. Diseñado como una experiencia completamente legible en Inglés y Español, cada poema se traduce individualmente (y a veces se altera ligeramente) para lograr una lectura verdaderamente bilingüe. Los poemas en sí son una tierna crítica de la calle y un llamado hacia los cielos. Irreverentes, crudos y a veces devastadores. Son una oda al enamorarse, al crecer y a todo lo que sucede entre la medianoche y el amanecer. Shitstains (or the poetics of failure) is a collection of poetry that revolves around youth, the city and all the vices that these things entail. Shitstains takes inspiration from everything from Punk rock to Beat Poetry. It paints a raw, scuzzy portrait of the Spanish underground in the beggining of the decade. Designed as an experience fully readable in English and Spanish, each poem is individually translated (and at times slightly altered) to make a truly bilingual read. The poems themselves are a tender indictment of the street and a call toward the heavens. Irreverent, raw and at times devastating. They are an ode to love, growing up, and whatever happens between midnight and the sunrise.
