The Economic Survey of Latin America & the Caribbean presents an in-depth analysis of economic trends at the national & regional levels during the previous year & the first few months of the current year. Beginning with the 1995-96 issue, the statistical data appears in print & includes the electronic format on diskette. The electronic version presents statistics that cover a much longer period (at least from 1987 to the previous year) & more detailed information than is shown on the tables included in the printed text. The publication gives excellent insight into the region's economic performance & will serve well as a reference for the formulation & implementation of policies by national authorities.
