Hillary Tucker and Lauren Turner grow up as the very best of friends since they met in preschool at four years old. They have the best and sweetest relationship ever. They grow up doing everything together. They promise to be the best friends for life no matter what. In middle school, Lauren joined a group of pretty, glamorous and fashionable girls called the Marilyn's led by the beautiful but mean Miranda. They are all prissy stuck up snobs with Miranda being the very worst of all. The catch is that Lauren has to end the friendship with Hillary. She does and breaks Hillary's heart. They are now seniors in high school and have not spoken in four years. We see their first few weeks of their senior year and both of their journeys being friends and the years since. We see their lives as they begin the last year of high school with their families, friends and experience classes and school life and explore the roads that each girl has chosen for herself. Hillary is active in her church where her dad is the pastor and is close with her family and friends and meets a new friend named Ben. Lauren is active with the rest of the Marilyn's and the group and they are varsity cheerleaders on the football squad. This is a story of broken promises, betrayal, compassion, love, healing, forgiveness and ultimate friendship and what real and true friendship is really and truly all about.
