Once Upon a River is a work of fiction that presents a brief and clear exploration of what water treatment is all about. In a conversation between a wise old owl and a couple of curious kids, it discusses why water treatment is necessary, the history of it, some of the technology, some of the issues involved (such as taxes) and why it's important to keep rivers clean.
