This book bridges the gap between field geophysicists and electronic engineers regarding instrumentation of seismic signals. Electronic considerations are avoided as much as possible and operations are described from the point of view of a geophysicist. The specific problems of digital recording and the operating characteristics of seismic amplifiers are discussed in detail.
