Working with your dog as a team, to achieve a common goal, can be exceptionally rewarding. It doesn’t matter if you are raising your own assistance dog, teaching scent work, practicing agility, or just learning tricks for obedience and fun. Dogs love to work and they will excel at most things given the right encouragement. Repetition is key, and although it can be frustrating for you both at first, it will pay off massively when it finally comes together and you understand each other perfectly. This tracker has been designed to help with the process by giving you a space to log your achievements. Every session is valuable, even if you don’t get the results you want! If you log what went right, or wrong, you will have a quick reference for next time. You will easily be able to see patterns such as certain distractions having stronger effects, and this will give you an idea of what to work on. The notes section allows you to jot down things to try next time, or things you enjoyed about the session. As time passes, you will be able to see your success score improve. And flicking back through will be a lovely reminder of all the time you spent together. Happy training!
