Author Description

In this collection of sermons for Advent, Christmas, and Epiphany, pastor and writer Chris Matthis invites you to marvel at the miracle of Christ's first coming at Christmas and to rejoice in the hope of his Second Coming on the Last Day, when Jesus will make all things new. Drawing on Scripture, hymnody, film, literature, popular music, and nearly 10 years of parish ministry experience, this sermon collection will brighten your devotional life or sermon preparation during the shorter days and darker nights of the busy holiday season.
