Author Description

Meet Bert and Smudge! These two lively cats are alike in many ways but they are not the same. Each brother has a unique personality and enjoys different interests and activities. They've learned to get along while giving each other space to grow and explore the world in their own way. Bert and Smudge show some of the ways siblings can be different and yet in the end, will always be family! Bert and Smudge offer subtle examples of patience, tolerance, respect, and love between siblings while celebrating the strength of the family bond. Parents will find opportunities for tender talks about interests, talents, and taking turns. Children will learn how even in the same family, we are all different, and different is wonderful!
