The nine chapters in this volume explore the history and values of social group work as realized in global and local, macro and micro practice today. Social group work has always emphasised citizenship, democracy, and social justice; the ongoing development of group work as a global and local, macro and micro level profession; and the method of group work as a resource for social and individual action and wellbeing.
