Author Description

A political activist is assassinated to stop him from revealing information that could destroy the sinister plans of a powerful, politically well-connected figure. But after the assassination, the people behind it discover that the activist's wife, Caroline Pencenat, also holds information, albeit unwittingly, that could expose them. When Caroline learns the truth about her husband's death and the reasons behind it, she is drawn into a mysterious and expanding web of violence. Before long, a trail of death that began half way around the world starts to wind its way to her. To protect herself and her son and to expose her husband's killers, she accepts a challenge that is equally as important as her own survival. Armed only with her wits and limited guidance from a deep cover agent on the run, she engages an omnipotent force comprised of ex-intelligence operatives, assassins and powerful politicians-all of whom will stop at nothing to mask their involvement in what could well be the ultimate and final conspiracy.
