This book is about the untold story of an African American Family (Wash and Liza Webb Peavy) that was among the more than 115 slaves George Stoneham brought from the environs of Conecuh, Alabama and settled in Grimes County, Texas in the 1840s. The much anticipated history of this Peavy Family is meticulously documented in this amazing book titled "Diaspora of the Peavy Family of Southern Grimes County, Texas (1837-2012)". It has been a long and arduous task of more than twenty years in the making; and I am grateful to the many relatives and friends who helped me to complete this seemingly endless task.
