Author Description

This brief four-skills text presents only the grammar structures essential for beginning Spanish students and follows a simple chapter sequence. Each lesson is divided into three "Graficos", which presents the chapter's vocabulary and informally introduces grammar, "Gramatica Esencial", which offers concise grammar explanations plus exercises, and "Comunicacion", which includes realia and/or short reading texts, as well as partner/pair activities. Following every third lesson, "Ampliaciones" sections include reading strategies, cultural readings, and self-tests. Instructors manuals, tapes and software are available.
