Author Description

This book was born out of a personal need in my own life. My daughter was born with Down syndrome and I remember how I longed to sit down and talk with someone about all the emotions you experience when receiving a special needs diagnosis. I felt lost and alone and unsure as to how to proceed. Eighteen years later, I offer you solace on your unique special needs journey. Some acquaintances of mine had a preemie born a few years ago and just last year got a new diagnosis that their child was on the Autism spectrum. I sat down and began writing questions with answers I had longed for so many years earlier in my own life. I ask and answer these questions based on my own experiences down in the trenches. These are honest, raw, and real-life questions. Some of the answers will make you laugh out loud, some might make you cry, but they are straight from my heart to yours.
