A rival consortium of local businessmen is putting in a bid for the broadcast licence. They have big plans, and nothing is going to stop them from getting their way. Some people would do anything to get what they didn’t deserve. But they didn’t factor in the steely resolve of the station’s current line-up of presenters and news journalists whose jobs would be under threat if KPO lost out to their rivals. It was going to be murder to hold on to what they had.
