After spending twenty years raising a family, she responds to a deep need to withdraw into solitude, creativity and nature. She travels to her own interior, shedding parts of herself, burning off dross, using hot flushes as a form of alchemy, purifying herself. She spends much time in nature. During the initiation the veil between this world and the spirit world lifts. Much wisdom is imparted by the spirit world.
