The text for this edition is fully up to date as of the 5.25 build. Part Two explains the NMS Universe and how it works. There are descriptions of the equipment that keeps you alive and transports you across Planets, Solar Systems and even Galaxies. Friends and Enemies, Civilisation, Bases and becoming rich are all covered, as well as interacting with Creatures, adopting pets, exploring Derelict Freighters and discovering the Autophage. Part Three describes the major missions as well as how to acquire Marine Bases, Living Ships and Frigates, Exocraft and the new Purple Solar Systems The book is full of tips but avoids spoilers, and includes a comprehensive index. There are 294 pages, 26 black and white illustrations and tables. Four hardware platforms are covered - PC, PS, Xbox and Nintendo Switch. Gameplay on the Mac should be identical, but has not been checked.
