Author Description

We seek to find ourselves by adopting a variety of persona. Eventually we settle on an identity that works for us. As we age, we value becoming more authentic, discarding old masks. We have an innate and noble nature, and all that stands in the way of living it is a lack of courage and will to step into it. We each have a note to sound in the symphony of the whole. The metaphor of a symphony conveys the idea of the harmonious working of an interconnected whole. By sounding our note, we take part in the vast ecological network of aspiring souls, which resonates subliminally like a symphony of surpassing beauty. The Sufi poet Sa'adi once said, "Every soul is meant for a certain purpose, and the light of that purpose has been kindled in that soul." The light of our purpose has been kindled in our soul. It may remain unconscious. Nevertheless it is kindled. When you wake up to the purpose of your life, you begin to sound your note. And if you don't sound your note, the symphony of the whole is incomplete. It is our privilege and our satisfaction in life to sound our note. Book jacket.
