August 2015, a journal was delivered by an anonymous source to the Cook County Sheriff's Office in Grand Marais, Minnesota. After carefully reviewing the journal's contents, authorities released the gazette to a local journalist who asked to remain anonymous. Intrigued by the journal's dramatic narrative, the journalist strongly suggested it be published for public viewing. Numerous handwriting experts have spent an extraordinary amount of time analyzing the many contexts of this journal. Our intentions were to keep the writings authentic, which is why only the bare minimum of editing factored into the final print. The original writing is in script and we did not follow a traditional format. Our handwriting experts dissected every word to make for a pure and authentic read. Dorothy Bean, the author behind the journal, encountered a supernatural phenomenon in her home while asleep in her bedroom. From that moment on, she decided to chronicle these events as they continued to unfold. Dorothy writes of her encounters with "shadow people" and in her writings, she included her research on the subject from many different sources. Besides her experiences with these shadow-beings, Dorothy is faced with many other adversaries from astral-traveling, to demonic entities, to God and exorcism. Dorothy's story needs to be heard. After final print, her journal was returned to the Cook County Sheriff's Department where it remains on file.
