This text is designed for undergraduate medical students and provides an introduction to the principles and practice of surgery. Topics covered include shock, blood transfusion, nutrition, and burns as well as disorders in specific areas of the body. It is the surgical companion to "Davidson's Principles and Practice of Medicine".
