Excerpt from Atlas of Clinical Surgery, Vol. 2: With Special Reference to Diagnosis and Treatment for Practitioners and Students Fig. 60 shows a case of Dupuytren's contracture of the fourth and fifth fingers in a man of fifty. The little finger is considerably contracted, and only the last phalanx can be freely extended. The fourth finger shows contracture of the first phalanx and commencing contracture of the second. Contrae ture is also beginning in the third finger. The affection was of several years duration, and caused so little trouble that operation was refused.
