"My name is Yong Dolan. The following pages chronicle my life during my happiest and darkest days. They are excerpts from my journals that span 60 years and give you a small window into my pain. I share with you an unimaginable decision I made in 1964 that I regret to this day. This decision shaped the rest of my life. I don’t know if I’ll ever forgive myself, but it taught me to forgive others, especially those closest to me. My story is about perseverance, forgiveness, hope, and unconditional love. I hope you get to know me through my words. I hope you find compassion and understanding in my story, not pity. I hope to inspire you and make you laugh. I am 83 years old.
